Kamal Adwan hospital director may be freed after nine weeks of abuse and torture
The first sighting of Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, the Kamal Adwan hospital director arrested 54 days ago after weeks of refusing to abandon his staff and patients despite Israeli attacks on the hospital – the occupation army subsequently destroyed the hospital after burning to death seriously ill patients and the staff caring for them – has emerged from Israel’s Ofer ‘torture camp’ prison:
Abu Safiya was interviewed, as he was moved, by an Israeli ‘journalist’ who misrepresented what he was saying:
Despite working only as a doctor and taking no part in any fighting, Israel recently put Dr Abu Safiya onto ‘unlawful combatant’ status to detain him indefinitely and had both tortured him and denied him vital medical treatment, but there are now unconfirmed reports that he may be released on Saturday, perhaps as part of a hostage swap.

An unknown number of other clinicians remain detained, probably tortured and in unknown condition, including Al-Awda hospital director Dr Ahmad al-Muhanna, who was detained without charge more than a year ago. Others, such as children’s doctor Adnan al-Bursh, have been tortured to death, along with many civilians who have been tortured to death while arbitrarily imprisoned.

Impending release from a ‘torture camp’ prison for being an ‘unlawful combatant’ by protecting his staff and patients.
Credit to Dr Hussam Abu Safiya for “doing no harm” yet infuriating the occupier which killed his son and destroyed his hospital. His blessings and his courage are immense.
Well to be fair, he doesn’t appear as though he’s been tortured.
Not that I’m any sort of expert, like, but he’s moving freely enough, considering he’s shackled.
But bollocks to ‘fair’, the poor sod should NEVER have been imprisoned in the first place. He could’ve been out saving lives instead of languishing in jail for fook-all.
And no doubt IF you mediabdecide to inform the general public about his interment, they’ll no doubt use his apparent ‘good health’ as yet another pro-bastard propaganda tool.
I can see where you are coming from, but if an army took you or I prisoner it doesn’t matter whether we were actually physically tortured or not, it is still a crime against humanity.
Err…did my third sentence not make meself clear?
And no doubt IF you mediabdecide
Should read:
“And no doubt IF UK media decide….”
The world’s gone mad when a nation can do this to a doctor who swore an oath to protect those in his charge nasty people’s who are building up karma against themselves
