Israel shoots and kills child in central Gaza

So much for ‘ceasefire’

An Israeli sniper has shot and killed a 15yo boy in the Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza, an area from which the occupation force had recently withdrawn. The lad was reportedly visiting what was left of his family home. His father was filmed mourning over his dead son:

While accusing the Palestinians of not honouring the terms of the supposed ceasefire, Israel has killed at least 118 civilians in Gaza, has continued to block tents, food and other aid from reaching the desperate population and has not met its timetables for withdrawal and for allowing the people of Gaza to reach their home areas, as these summary graphics by ‘Now in Palestine’ show:

At the same time, Israel is replicating its genocide tactics in the occupied West Bank, slaughtering hundreds and forcibly displacing forty thousand as it flattened the Jenin refugee camp and has driven out the population from Nur Shams camp this week, using loudspeakers to tell residents to ‘leave or die’.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and US president Donald Trump have also demanded the release of all Israeli captives by noon local time on Saturday – which was never part of the agreed ceasefire actions – or else they will ‘unleash hell’ on the people of Gaza, while Trump continues to insist that the US will remove all of Gaza’s Palestinian people and ‘own’ Gaza to develop it as a beachfront resort to which the Palestinians will not be allowed to return.
