University of Oxford professor Paulina Kewes was slammed yesterday for a ‘racist and Islamophobic’ comment she made in response to an X post attacking Jewish Green party leader Zach Polanski. Jonathan Glass, director of the notorious so-called ‘Labour against Antisemitism’ (LAAS) smear group and accused of threatening Jewish author Michael Rosen, mocked Polanski’s call for former Labour voters to support the Greens by characterising it as ‘Antisemites – we want you!’ – and Kewes added ‘The browner, the better!’ in an apparent reference to Muslim opponents of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, which Kewes denies even exists.
Kewes deleted the offending tweet after it triggered a torrent of anger and disgust – but she has not, as of the time of writing, deleted this one – in which she regurgitated the ‘Green/brown’ quip:
The post to which she was apparently using ‘brown’ to endorse was another attack on the Greens, for daring to suggest that ‘all genocides’ should be remembered on Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The pro-Israel account’s response claimed Israel’s slaughter and maiming of hundreds of thousands – and attempted starvation of millions – in Gaza is a ‘fake genocide… being weaponised to undermine Holocaust remembrance’ and that to even think of including the Gaza genocide as a Holocaust is a sign of ‘a special animus for the Jews’:
This apparently met with Prof Kewes approval and her comment appears to have been another reference to the idea that Muslims, or pro-Palestinians, have too much influence on the Green party – whose leaders, including Polanski, have condemned Israel’s genocide and the British government’s collusion in it:
Professor Kewes was contacted for comment about her position but did not reply.

Not content with putting an enclosure around the term “Semite” to exclude every real legitimate Semite other than a self-selecting special interest group who even censor their own community who disagree with them, the same exceptionalism is claimed for other concepts to suit sectarian convenience.

The question arising here is just who and what else has been “slaughtered” using the same propaganda techniques and methods of lies supported by a yellow media and political class beyond the Palestine issue?
The fake information, lies by commission and omission, false impressions and spurious evidence free allegations – coupled with a total abandonment of objective evidence based analysis and any attempt to apply so called ‘Enlightenment” values and principles in favour of the most blatant abuse of those values and principles – is, as Michael Crichton’s ‘Gell-Mann’ effect’ reminds us, not limited to a single issue but is widespread across the entire media spectrum polluting the whole culture, discourse and narrative on issue after issue.
Even to the extent of persuading large numbers of people to not only internalise the fake narratives and flawed world view and mindset which underpin those narratives, but also to verbally attack anyone who challenges that propaganda. Vilifying anyone and everyone who points out the contradictions, hypocrisy, double standards and self-serving cant with the same lies and evidence free slander techniques.
Indeed, some of that number even have the chutzpah to post videos on these methods as they are applied in specific individual cases whilst at the same time reserving their own rights to apply those same techniques and methods in other cases where they are practiced.
