Breaking: peace campaigner Strecker charged for supporting international law on Gaza

Charge carries potential 14yr sentence

Jersey-based peace activist Natalie Strecker has today been charged with two offences ‘inviting support for a proscribed organisation’ under Jersey’s Terrorism Law 2002, as Keir Starmer’s war on freedom of speech and on opposition to Israel’s genocide continues to intensify.

Strecker, a well-known writer and campaigner for a just peace in Palestine and an associate of UN-recognised Palestinian advocate of non-violent resistance, Issa Amro, was first arrested in November shortly after returning from a peace trip to the Middle East. She has tirelessly exposed the crimes of Israel’s occupation and campaigned for a ceasefire in its Gaza genocide.

Ms Strecker has issued a statement refuting the state’s claim that she has ever expressed or invited support for any banned group:

It is with complete disbelief that I confirm that I have today been charged with two offences under Jersey’s ‘Terrorism Law 2002’ for allegedly “inviting support for a proscribed organisation”. I cannot say much at this stage, but I will say that I absolutely refute these allegations and will fight to clear my name.

It is terrifying that this year, as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of our Liberation from Nazi occupation and reflect on the sacrifices our grandparents made to achieve our Liberation and protect our freedoms, that I, a human rights defender and aspiring pacifist, face charges for advocating for another people subject to occupation and untold suffering.

I remain firm in my commitment to the recognition and application of international law, including the European Convention on Human Rights, which seems to be under increasing threat. Our ability to freely express ourselves is a fundamental part of any democracy and our right to do so is being undermined by this weaponisation of legislation.

Thank you to all those who have expressed their support. I am eternally grateful to each of you.

The charges are a sign of the Starmer regime’s continuing escalation of its war on anti-genocide journalists and activists by abusing poorly-written anti-terror legislation to raid and arrest journalists and activists and force access to their confidential information – many of them, like many anti-genocide protesters, Jewish. Hate-speech laws are similarly being misused to target anti-genocide campaigners, again many of them Jewish, like Israeli professor Haim Bresheeth, arrested for a speech against Israel’s genocide and racism and Tony Greenstein, who appears at the Old Bailey later this month facing similar charges to those brought against Natalie Strecker.

  1. Starmer has created, for us, Niemoller’s vision of the corrupt police state. In this regard he is every bit as awful as were the Tories. Next go at the helm, Reform? Hell, here we come!

  2. Here is United Nations resolution 3246 November 29th [1974]
Affirms the legitimacy of armed resistance by oppressed peoples in pursuit of the right to self determination, and condemns governments which do not support that right.

  3. Ah, Jersey.

Where Haut de la Garenne children’s home was. A favourite haunt of the establishment paedophile clique; some of the names touted were friends of israel or have links to them…

And of course, the kids there were labelled liars, along with evidence going west, too.

    Just sayin’…

    1. Interestingly, for some reason you don’t hear the likes of Elon Musk, Nigel Farage, Lawrence Fox, Yaxley-Lennon and their camp followers bringing cases like this up and calling for public enquiries.

Perhaps it might have something to do with the perps not being a [checks notes] “funny tinge”?

    2. Addendum:

      And not just Jersey, Toffee.

Here’s one Declan Hayes, reminding us that the British establishment have a much longer record of their own when it comes to the sexual exploitation of minors:

“As if recent SCF articles here, here, here, here, here, here and here on the British Labour Party’s child rape gangs were not enough to convince us that Britain can have no say in Ukrainian (or should that be Uranian?) affairs, it now transpires that former British Defence Minister and notorious Zionist Ivor Caplin is the latest senior Labour Party member to be outed as a child rapist. Neither Putin nor any other self-respecting Russian can negotiate in good faith with these nonces.

Caplin, Starmer and their ilk would, to be fair to them, argue that their members are following an age-old British tradition of buggering any and all waifs that come their way. Britain exported an estimated 150,000 children as sex slaves to Virginia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Southern Rhodesia to empty the orphanages of its Oliver Twists, to boost the population of the colonies and, of course, to allow the patrons and staff of Barnardo’s and the Fairbridge Society, whose president was the Duke of Gloucester, uncle to the Queen, to bugger the waifs in Hog Heaven as they called it. Although former Fairbridge boys have claimed that the then-Australian Governor General, Lord Slim, raped them during rides in his chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce, this is nothing new. Britain’s Industrial Revolution fast tracked this process of making children the state’s sex chattels that could be shuttled around the sex slave farms of Britain and the world at will. Think of the surrogate mother farms of Ukraine and you get the idea.

Although the Pall Mall Gazette exposed the depths and depravities of the child sex trade in the reign of the Famine Queen, that was merely the end result of British Government policy, as postulated by the likes of Lord Salisbury, who advocated forced deportation for slum children. Annie MacPherson, the Scottish Quaker extremist, was the first private individual to organise so-called mercy migrations, the rescue of children from their “gin-soaked mothers and violent fathers” into the clutches of rapacious Quakers in need of a waif to root. Dr Barnardo used Annie MacPherson’s scheme, before implementing his own “philanthropic abductions”, as he termed his crimes, in 1882.

At the same time as Barnardo’s were buggering the Famine Queen’s Oliver Twists, “orphan trains” carried indentured children from New York and Boston to the aptly named Wild West, under the auspices of the Orwellian named Children’s Aid Society. Sometimes the prettier children were “ordered” in advance, other paedophiles chose other tender lamb shanks as they left the train, or were paraded in the playhouses of the small towns where farmers could assess their strength and the willingness to work of these “little labourers”, who were little more than pint sized sex slaves. Between 1854 and 1929, a quarter of a million American children were sexually trafficked in this way.”

Add to that more historically recent post WW2 deportation of orphans and children born out of ‘wedlock’ to the Antipodes/Canada; various children’s homes over the past decades which served the predators of the British elite establishment ; the old Liberal Party Establishment of Freud and Smith (Rochdale); Northern Ireland (Kincora); Saville and other Establishment light entertainment front organisation for child exploitation and so on: it makes one wonder why it has taken so long for the populace to wake up to a home grown problem which predates the current legitimate concerns by at least 150 years?

  4. Yep. ‘Twas ever thus.

A supply teacher told us about the barnardo racket, which, IIRC went on right up until the late 1950s or early 60s. Almost a century, as i recall being told.

She was only at our school for a few days, perhaps a week at most, but she was gone as suddenly as she appeared, without so much as a by-your-leave, and we never saw her again.

None of the other teachers would tell us where she’d gone. Almost as though they were sworn to secrecy.

I can’t remember her name anymore, but she was very softly spoken, with traces of an Irish accent.

Looking back, I get the feeling that perhaps someone she knew was a victim.
