Occupier makes mockery of ceasefire terms – while still shooting civilians in Gaza
Israel has ended a day in which it received three released Israeli captives from Gaza, released ninety haggard Palestinian hostages and murdered at least three people, including a child, in Gaza in blatant breaches of the supposed ceasefire agreement, by rounding up and arbitrarily detaining at least sixty Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank:
This tactic is not new to Israel – previous captive-swaps have been closely followed by mass arbitrary arrests and so-called ‘administrative detention’, which can be and often is used to imprison Palestinians without charge for years who are often beaten and tortured, with complete impunity for Israel from so-called ‘liberal’, ‘democratic’ western governments.
