Exclusive: Israel supporter arrested after punching anti-genocide marcher

Woman turns to violence after protesters ignore apparent attempts to incite incident

Not the real incident.

A pro-Israel counter-demonstrator has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police after punching a peaceful anti-genocide protester during today’s national march for Gaza.

The woman was seen marching to and fro with a placard accusing Palestinians of killing babies – seemingly a reference to long-debunked allegations made by the Israeli government to try to justify its genocide in Gaza – in an apparent attempt to incite an incident. Then, when the pro-Palestinian marchers ignored her, she punched one of them in the face several times and was arrested by police officers.

The incident was not the first time a female Israel supporter has been ignored after carrying inflammatory signs through peaceful anti-genocide protesters during a London pro-Palestine event in an apparent attempt to reinforce claims by Zionists that Jews are ‘unsafe’ in London during such rallies when in fact any violence is usually instigated by supporters of Israel. Many of the anti-genocide protesters are Jews.

The Met press office said the force is not confirming any details of individual incidents, but the force’s Twitter account does note a number of arrests for ‘public order offences’.

Before the march, several apparently peaceful pro-Gaza protesters were roughly arrested by the Met during a pre-march solidarity rally at Whitehall. The Met had banned the march from its original route to appease pro-Israel groups. Around thirty were later detained after succeeding in bypassing a police blockade to access Trafalgar Square within the ‘banned’ area.

Stop the War founder Chris Nineham, the chief steward of the Palestine marches was also violently arrested as onlookers described the Met officers as ‘losing their minds’:

  1. No doubt being terrified by the perceived existential threat is what caused the pre-emptive assault. 🙄

Conditional discharge stamped all over it. 😕
