German Christmas market terrorist is far-right Israel, Musk, Wilders, Yaxley-Lennon fan

Right-wing Islamophobes rushed to exploit Magdeburg atrocity – UK politicians and ‘mainstream’ media silent

What a contrast in the ‘mainstream’s reaction to pro-Israel terror attack.

Right-wing racists rushed to exploit the Christmas market terror attack in the German city of Magdeburg to incite anti-Muslim hatred, because the suspected attacker’s name is Taleb al Abdulmohsen. Five people were murdered, including a nine-year-old child, and hundreds injured.

But Abdulmohsen is not a Muslim. On the contrary, he is a far-right atheist who supports Israel and is a big fan of Trumpian billionaire Elon Musk and the far-right UK figure known as ‘Tommy Robinson’ – and is said to have committed the attack because he thinks Germany is too soft on Muslims:

Abdulmohsen’s Twitter/X profile.

‘Robinson’ and Musk were quick to use the terror attack for anti-Muslim propaganda with a number of ‘X’ posts, but Abdulmohsen was a political fellow-traveller of the far-right extremist – and followed by him:

And Abdulmohsen was a big fan of apartheid, genocidal Israel:

‘May God guide Israel to what it loves’ – Abdulmohsen hoped for the realisation of the racist ‘Greater Israel’ project.
Terrorist described far-right Dutch politician as a ‘true hero’.

UK PM Keir Starmer published a statement that he was “horrified by the atrocious attack in Magdeburg”. His X post was leapt on by far-right racists to demand the mass deportation of Muslims – but at the time of writing almost a full day later, he has not issued any correction or even reaction to the attacker’s far-right, pro-Israel politics or condemning the outpouring of opportunist Islamophobia:

Starmer’s most recent X posts at the time of writing.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy’s response was similar – with a note added of particular sympathy for Germany’s fanatically Zionist foreign minister. Again, Lammy has not commented since on Abdulmohsen’s extreme far-right politics:

As more than one commenter pointed out, this is the reaction of the Islamophobes and Establishment just now:

And the UK’s media are just beginning to mention Adbulmohsen’s politics – but in the most muted way, a stark contrast to the anti-Muslim hysteria that would have been standard if he had been a Muslim or supporter of Palestinians against Israel’s genocide. And while there has been some mention of his far-right views, none appear to have mentioned his support for Israel, even in articles claiming to analyse who the Magdeburg terrorist is.

The BBC’s analysis of the terrorist’s motivations – typical of the ‘mainstream’ media – makes no mention of Israel.
