Director of health tells Al Jazeera that people ‘evaporated’ and ‘homes turned into ashes and fragments’
A Gaza health official has told broadcaster Al Jazeera of the horrifying toll of Israeli bombs, missiles, shells, bullets and imposed starvation on the two million people of Gaza. And in the midst of his account, he told viewers that he believes Israel is using internationally-prohibited weapons that have led to reports of civilians ‘evaporating’ and houses being turned to ‘ashes and fragments’:
These reports have been circulating for some days and have been treated as credible by Gaza’s few surviving journalists.
Even without the alleged use of such weapons, the carnage Israel’s genocide is causing among the millions of innocents in Gaza is horrific and involves endless war crimes – yet the UK and other western governments refuse to condemn and continue to indicate they will look for ways to avoid extraditing Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant to the International Criminal Court if they enter those nations’ jurisdiction.
