UN aid workers murdered – UK media and politicians ignore
Five United Nations aid workers working for the World Food Programme (WFP) were murdered today in a targeted Israeli airstrike just south of Gaza city. Local journalist Anas Fteiha filmed the aftermath:
WFP activities in Gaza were suspended in August after repeated targeted attacks by Israeli forces and had only fairly recently resumed. Today’s murders, part of a long series of attacks, throughout Israel’s genocide, targeting aid workers, are clearly designed to escalate the Gaza famine by preventing aid agency personnel working on the ground to support food deliveries.
Israel has also attacked food distribution points, banned the UN’s main relief agency for Palestinians, been exposed delivering ‘food’ bags containing dirt and sand and has been funding armed gangs to hijack the trickle of food allowed into the besieged Strip. Northern Gaza is in complete famine after weeks of total blockade by the occupation forces, forcing more than 400,000 people trapped there into starvation.
UK media have so far ignored the attack. Neither Keir Starmer nor Foreign Secretary David Lammy have even mentioned it, let alone condemned it.

“World Central Kitchen pauses Gaza work after car carrying staff hit by Israeli strike

The charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) has said it is pausing its operations in Gaza after a vehicle carrying its staff members was hit by an Israeli air strike.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the target of the strike had taken part in the 7 October attacks on Israel, and was currently employed by the WCK.
WCK said it was “heartbroken to share” that a vehicle carrying staff had been hit and it was seeking more details, though added it had “no knowledge” that anyone in the car had ties to the 7 October attacks.
Palestinian state-run news agency Wafa reported that five people were killed in the strike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on Saturday, with three of them WCK employees.
They included the director of WCK’s kitchens in Gaza, the agency added. [Was this the real target?]
Pictures circulating on social media showed a white saloon car by the side of a road, partially burned-out and with its roof caved in.
Video filmed inside a mortuary also showed a number of charred possessions – including a laptop, clothing, and and ID badge – bearing the WCK logo.
In a statement, the IDF said it had “struck a vehicle [carrying] a terrorist that took part in the murderous 7 October massacre”.
It said the man had taken part in an attack on the kibbutz of Nir Oz, though added that it was “not possible to link the terrorist to a specific abduction attempt”.
“The terrorist was monitored for a while by IDF intelligence and was struck following credible information regarding his real time location,” it said.
It said the strike was on a “civilian unmarked vehicle” whose movement had “not been coordinated for transporting aid”.
It went on to demand “clarifications and an urgent investigation” from WCK and the international community “regarding the hiring of workers who took part in… terrorist activity against Israel”.

The statement from WCK said it was “heartbroken to share that a vehicle carrying World Central Kitchen colleagues was hit by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza”.
“At this time, we are working with incomplete information and are urgently seeking more details,” it said.
“World Central Kitchen had no knowledge that any individual in the vehicle had alleged ties to the October 7th Hamas attack”.
It added that it would be pausing its work in Gaza.
“Our hearts are with our colleagues and their families in this unimaginable moment,” it said.
In April, seven WCK workers, including three British security staff, were killed in an Israeli strike on an aid convoy, prompting widespread condemnation and a temporary halt to the charity’s operations.
The IDF later admitted “grave mistakes” had been made and sacked two senior officers.

Corporate media need to show themselves trustworthy even when doing so may embarrass those in high office. (Not only does their long term capacity to influence opinion and manufacture consent depend on this. So too, on pain of losing market share, do their business models.) I wonder when the BBC will verify that only one baby died on October 7th – ie ten-month-old Mila Cohen (who was killed by accident). It’s been in the public domaine since at least the end of last November, but completely blanked by the MSM of course who, along with the fascist elite, want tens of millions of people in the UK (and HUNDREDS of millions in Europe and the US etc) to continue to believe that Hamas beheaded forty babies (and the various versions of the story) and other such atrocities and, as such, that they are totally evil:

The data gives a clear picture of the scale of the atrocities at the Supernova music festival in Reim where 364 people were killed [most of them probably killed by the IDF].
But it also invalidates some statements by Israeli authorities in the days following the attack.
In particular, a claim made on October 10 on the government’s official X (formerly Twitter) account spoke of “40 babies murdered” at Kfar Aza kibbutz, based on a report by i24NEWS channel.
According to Bituah Leumi, 46 civilians were killed in Kfar Aza, the youngest 14 years old.
Another testimony called into question was that on October 27 by Colonel Golan Vach, head of the army’s search and rescue unit, who told a group of journalists, including one from AFP, that he “personally” transported “a decapitated baby” found in the arms of his mother in the Beeri kibbutz.
According to Bituah Leumi, only one baby was killed in Beeri: the 10-month-old Mila Cohen, whose mother survived.
Army spokespersons did not respond to queries by AFP.

As for the claim by the IDF that they targeted someone involved in the October 7th attack (re the BBC article SH posted), does it sound remotely plausible that if that’s the case, they’ve only just got round to killing him NOW, some fourteen months later. Needless to say, if that really WERE the case, they would have targeted and killed him in the days and weeks after October 7th.
Talking of which, Benny the Baby Killer and Mass Murderer and his fascist buddies still haven’t provided proof/evidence that 2,000-plus UNRWA employees were members of Hamas. Needless to say, it was just another Big nazi-type Lie by the Zionist fascists, concocted for the obvious reasons, and all their fascist buddies in the US and the UK etc such as Biden and Blinken and Starmer et al knew it of course.
