Horrific blaze rages for hours as yet another civilian area targeted

The Mar Elias district of central Beirut, a mixed Christian and Muslim neighbourhood, is burning this evening after an after-dark Israeli strike on another residential district. At least one person was killed and nine injured in the bombing, which took place without warning:
Hours after the strike, as the latter part of the video shows, the fires were still intense. Israel continues to target medics and first responders, but at least in this instance there are no reports yet of follow-up bombings to kill fire and ambulance crews.
Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy have yet to condemn this or other bombings by Israel of civilian areas of Lebanon, despite Israel killing well over three thousand non-combatants in Beirut.
