Journalist Kennard targeted by genocide-deniers – for saying fascists not welcome on UK streets

Far-right ‘antisemitism’ account with alleged EDL links reports Matt Kennard to Met police for sane comment

British journalist, author and anti-genocide campaigner Matt Kennard has been reported to the Metropolitan Police by a far-right Zionist account – for saying fascists are not welcome on UK streets.

Kennard, who appears regularly on Declassified UK, posted a simple anti-racist message on his Twitter/X feed yesterday – and got the sinister response from the so-called ‘Eye on Antisemitism’:

‘Eye on Antisemitism’ is run by genocide-denier Ambrosine Shitrit, who has been accused of links with far-right group EDL, though she has at times denied being a supporter:

As long ago as 2013, anti-Islamophobia organisation Tell Mama was highlighting Shitrit’s anti-Muslim social media comments. A few extracts are shown below:

Shitrit’s tactic did not go down well with users of the social media platform. While only a handful shared the post, hundreds replied to it with derision and condemnation:

But with Keir Starmer in Downing Street, the sinister aspects of such intimidation cannot simply be dismissed. Starmer’s regime and its enforcers are engaged in an escalating campaign of abusing anti-terror legislation to raid and arrest journalists and activists – many of them, like many anti-genocide protesters, Jewish – who expose Israel’s war crimes. Hate-speech laws are similarly being misused to target anti-genocide campaigners, again many of them Jewish, like Israeli professor Haim Bresheeth, arrested last week for a speech against Israel’s genocide and racism.

It’s essential that the millions of opponents of genocide and of the collusion of the British and other western governments in Israel’s mass murder and ethnic cleansing stand together and refuse to be intimidated by those who should be on trial for war crimes and promoting genocide.

Solidarity with Matt Kennard and all the other journalists targeted, harassed and persecuted for revealing the truth of Israel’s crimes against humanity.
