Video: Israel murders 6 medics in missile strike

Horrifying footage of explosion in targeting campaign that killed six medical workers and wounded others

Video released from Tyre in Lebanon shows the moment Israel’s forces targeted medics and paramedics working in Lebanon’s civil defence yesterday.

Israeli strikes killed six medics and wounded at least four others. In just a month since its invasion, Israel has murdered at least 178 medics and wounded almost 300 more, mirroring its genocide tactics of targeting emergency and civil workers in Gaza as it bombs civilian areas and then kills those who are trying to help them. On the ground, its invasion has reportedly stalled in the face of fierce resistance and heavy losses, despite its illegal use of chemical weapons and white phosphorus.

  1. Meanwhile disastrous local by election defeat for Labour in Bilston North to the Reform Party.
I wonder if McFadden got out there and told his constituents why we could no longer afford the Winter Fuel Allowance but have just found twice that amount, £2.9 billion, for an increase in the military budget?

    From recent Labourlist article:

“A pledge of extra defence spending also helps shore up Labour against the Tories and right-wing press questioning, as ever, how far it can be trusted on defence.”

Yes, those billions are needed to run 2 aircraft carriers that David Cameron tried, quite rightly, to cancel when he was in office.

    1. Yeah, Labour’s relatively poor 25.1% vote share was nearly matched by The Greens’ 23.4%.

If only Starmer were where he belongs in the Conservative Party, Labour would have walked it and the tories’ 13.7% would have been even lower.

Point is, if Labour were Labour Reform would be less attractive to voters –

      1. When you make a populism of the left impossible, you make a populism of the right inevitable.

      2. Yeah, this was the first seat StarmerCo lost to Reform. Sure, on “super Thursday” Labour lost lots of seats to Greens, Lib Dems and Tories, but this week Bilston North was the first seat lost to Reform.

  2. Yes when there’s no Left alternative.
When my union had a stall to protest at the Winter Fuel Payment cut, some working class people were saying they voted Reform.
Labour was never about politicising the masses for socialism, apart from Jeremy, it focusses on elections & puts a few leaflets out hoping to win just enough votes & top down then to take the power for itself.
I looked at Reform’s manifesto, it seems to have some goodwill from the w class & others because of Brexit but I would argue is playing the white working class.
It uses emotional issues like immigration and reels them in with inflammatory language, exaggerations & distortions but it’s often posh white candidates fail to mention its real agenda – tax cuts for the rich, tax relief on private health and tax relief on private health insurance – all upper class welfare state subsidies so as I say their w class voters are being played & their policies could lead to pay to see GPs & pay for health procedures & the end of the NHS & private health insurance so no doubt private health companies will pile in to donate to them.
Diverse working class people – Beware Reform!
We seriously need a new Left Party soon, ideally built around the Independent Left MPs as soon as, not in 4.5 years.
