Blinken lied to Congress about starvation of Gaza to protect Israel

Leading US authorities on humanitarian aid found Israel deliberate blocking aid. Blinken said the opposite to maintain arms shipments

Avowed Zionist US Secretary of State Antony Blinken overruled the two leading US agencies on humanitarian aid and lied to US lawmakers earlier this year in order to maintain US weapons shipments to Israel, according to revelations by non-profit news site ProPublica.

US law states that no arms shipments can be made to any country that prevents the delivery of humanitarian aid – and both the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (BPRM) had told Blinken that Israel was blocking desperately-needed food and other aid from reaching the starving population of Gaza.

Despite the findings of his own department’s humanitarian aid specialists and USAID’s 17-page report to Blinken detailing what it had discovered, shortly afterward on 10 May Blinken told the US Congress that:

We do not currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of U.S. humanitarian assistance.

The USAID memo listed examples of instances of Israel:

and said that Israel was engaged in the “arbitrary denial, restriction, and impediments of U.S. humanitarian assistance”.

The BPRM specifically told Blinken that Israel was blocking humanitarian aid and that the Foreign Assistance Act – which bans the shipment of arms to states blocking US-approved aid – required the immediate freezing of massive amounts of US military supplies to Israel that were in the pipeline.

Gaza is suffering one of the world’s most extreme famines and the International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor has asked the court to issue arrest warrants for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for, among other crimes, using starvation as a weapon against the Palestinians of Gaza.

Blinken’s chief spokesman John Kirby could not deny that Blinken had misled Congress about Israel blocking humanitarian aid when asked on MSNBC:

Blinken’s lie both allowed Israel to continue starving two million civilians in Gaza – around half of them children – and to keep receiving US weapons to use in its genocide in Gaza.

  1. FS, I’m as far away as the yanks are, and even with the zero information the israelis were allowing out, even I saw the miles-long lines of trucks being held up at the border. I saw the planes dropping crates of flour and (inadvertently) killing the poor sods.

And don’t forget it was the yanks built the bleedin’ harbour for them to get aid in by sea….abd then that was stopped as soon as it started

I seen those aid workers murdered along with the thousands of civilians. I saw those hospitals destroyed (even though israel at first denied they were doing so, then were openly bragging about it) And STILL they’re being tooled up.

And that prick in the interview? Must think we’re all fucking goldfish

But this sums up the sheer idiocy…

“When they went into Rafah, we withheld a shipment of 2000lb bombs”

…And then handed them over anyway, after even more war crimes had been committed.

    How fucking noble of yous.

2000lb bombs in extremely densely populated areas. But that’s the septics for ya. Supersize burgers, 7 litre engines in family cars, fattest dimmest, most arrogant bastards on the planet, with their 2000lb people and 2000lb bombs. I’m amazed their planes can get off the ground.

You go, ‘murrica. You and your land of the free, and home of the brave (Well it was until you wiped them out).

    1. So quick to condemn Netanyahu and Israel for the pain and suffering inflicted on innocent people, yet nothing to say about Starmer & his cronies behaving no differently to the Tories we’ve just got rid of.

‘What’s not to like’ you kept telling us. Well there’s very much not to like so far and without any sign it will get any better for those of us at the sharp end.

It can only be assumed that you find nothing wrong in that, which makes you a hypocrite after arguing with all and sundry on here how it was going to be so different under Starmer.

      1. The level of hypocrisy and double standards is a lot worse than that, PW.

The high number of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians being slaughtered with impunity represents but one aspect of the “depravity” which is being criticised.

The other aspect is the principle and actuality of deliberately targeting civilians with bombs, artillery shells, sniper fire, et al. because they belong to the “wrong” ethnic group.

And it is at this point that a glaring inconsistency exists in Billy no Mates’s public position.

Because he is picking and choosing where to apply that principle and criticise the depravity of those who do not simply instigate it, but also those who either enthusiastically support it and/or deny point-blank that it is happening at all, and where not to apply that principle.

Netanyahu and his apologists would doubtless claim they are not deliberately slaughtering civilians on a mass or any other scale and are in fact proceeding humanly as befits the self-appointed “‘most moral army in the world”.

Which, coincidently, is precisely the position of SteveH when it comes to the slaughter of civilians from the “wrong” ethnic group in the two Donbass Oblasts (as well as elsewhere in Ukraine by the neo-Nazis running 404 on behalf of their fascist CIA/MI5 handlers) by the same or similar means and methods.

A slaughter which began with an illegal coup in 2014 and continued, despite the Minsk Agreements which the Russians stuck to but which the Collective Worst has admitted they only used as an excuse to re-arm the Nazi’s to spearhead an invasion and mass slaughter of those they consider Russian Üntermenschen, right up until February 24th 2022 when masses of rabid Azov knuckle draggers were massed on the Donbass contact point ready to invade.

Time after time, he has denied this reality by smearing anyone who raises these and other related inconvenient facts as “Putin Propaganda”. Which is no different to Netanyahu’s constant refrain of denouncing all criticism of Israel and its actions as “anti-Semitic.”

If SteveH wishes to criticise the kind of depravity on show by Netanyahu, the most appropriate starting point would be to look in the mirror. Because what SteveH is criticising in Netanyahu applies equally to himself.

  2. Just like keef, PW, wee gobshite thinks doesn’t have to explain to the likes of us.

  3. And the yanks are no better! Lying in parliament does sadly not seem to be a sackable offence.
