Israel shuts down Al Jazeera office in West Bank – what are they planning that they want to hide?

Al Jazeera broadcasts occupation raid live

Israeli occupation forces have raided an shut down Al Jazeera’s West Bank bureau – streamed live on air by the broadcaster – and have banned it from operating for at least forty-five days:

Israel, which has murdered almost two hundred journalists in Gaza, had already shut down and banned Al Jazeera in Israel, but the new shut-down in territory it has no right to occupy has raised questions about what new atrocity it is planning in the West Bank that it doesn’t want journalists to broadcast, especially as the live-streaming of its ceaseless genocide in Gaza has crushed its façade as the supposed ‘only democracy in the Middle East’ and have horrified billions around the world, as well as every government that is not willing to be complicit in its war crimes.

Israeli troops were caught on video last week throwing immobile Palestinians from a roof in the West Bank and has slaughtered hundreds there since 7 October last year, even though the people of the West Bank played no part in the raid from Gaza, during which Israel killed hundreds of its own citizens in a day-long ‘Hannibal’ operation.

With Israel already engaged in terrorism and provocation in neighbouring Lebanon, this latest move raises fears that a further escalation in its crimes against humanity and war crimes in Gaza is imminent.
