Asylum Link Merseyside asks supporters NOT to counter-protest – here’s how to help

UPDATE: the counter-protest IS now taking place. See https://skwawkbox.org/2024/08/06/liverpool-anti-fascist-counter-protest-will-go-ahead-at-asylum-link-centre-tomorrow/

Asylum Link Merseyside is on a far-right list of riot targets and has temporarily closed to protect staff and the people who need its services – but its management has asked supporters not to come to the centre in counter-protest against the mob, saying that an empty building is not worth people’s lives or health.

Instead, the organisation has published a document showing the ways that supporters can help if they want to and are able:

  1. Giving in, in advance? If any refugee and asylum seekers turn up for support, because they didn’t get the message, and there’s no-one there [but fascists and racists] to defend them or the premises ~ can Asylum Link not work out what might happen?
Much better to have stewards there to protect both potential visitors and the premises PLUS there’s a Police Station at the top of the road : leave your typewriters and protect members of the public.
    DON’T GIVE IN TO FASCISTS.

  2. Your missing the point, the battle now is to make those much further up the Food chain take ownership for the actions of their Stormtroopers, name and shame Politicians, MSM and Toilet papers responsible
    Start with the Fuhrer
One small victory, is the fucker is down to one partially displayed Union Jack when he cries ‘Wolf
Most communities are well capable of defending themselves having learnt the hard way in the 70’s and 80’s
But that’s a side show, the biggest battle is to reclaim our Democracy and be there for people when the financial system collapses under the burden of corruption
