Only 4% found either Starmer or Sunak ‘authentic’ in ‘debate’ – poll

And no wonder – barely a cigarette paper between either Tory ‘leader’

Just four percent of viewers watching tonight’s ‘debate’ between Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak showed them anything authentic about the two participants, according to a YouGov poll carried out after the ITV broadcast. In stark contrast, almost two thirds found the drab event ‘frustrating’:

Astonishingly, forty-two percent found it ‘interesting’ – perhaps in the way that watching two almost identical shades of paint to see which dries first might be interesting, or else in the sense of a freak show of two men talking for that long without really saying anything. Or, most likely, wondering how many times Keir Starmer would refer to being a former (awful) head of the Crown Prosecution Service or to his dad being a toolmaker (amen) – far too many times in both cases but entirely unsurprising.

In reality, the ‘debate’ only confirmed what was already all too clear: the two shades of Tory are almost indistinguishable in their vacuity and toxicity. That was just about the only authenticity on show.

    1. Feedback, is though Titchy Fishy Richy was … well “TITCHY”, Sir Keith was “LIKE A RABBIT IN THE HEADLIGHTS”.

Someone also said “despite his past career, he went a funny shade as if blushing” (approx words but near enough).

That struck me as about two tears ago a very insightful independent thinker said what i’d been thinking for some time. To date, i’v inly heard one other person say similar. I.E. VERY odd that someone who was moved into high office, and one requiring the ability to use English effectively, eg speak fluently, Sir Keith Starmer is oddly… disturbingly suspiciously lamentable.

Listen to him, if u can endure it, speak. All toe-curling. Sir Keith’s weird clipped vowels … staccato… “pple” instead of people. fthr ws a tl mkr… etc. Then it seems sone poor coach has pointed his clipping out to him. So the tool suddenly remembers intermittently and goes way the other way like an insincere trainee undertaker trying to hoodwink a grieving family to “trust” him, he really did put their deceased in the casket, but it cannot be opened to make sure, for a million and one ever changing but always leaky cock and bull excuses. ALWAYS with his give away over elongated sighing vowels, trying sooooo hard to feign sincerity.

The man is a creepy lying tool, and a DANGEROUS one at that!!!

Heaven help us all if he manages to decisive enough people.

      1. … and i hear re Sir Keith: his answers “didn’t feel real” nor “honest”.
… and he STILL hasn’t everyone can SEE he’s “the son of a toolmaker”.🔩🔧🔩🔧🔩🔧
They r sick of hearing him on that.

      2. … and he STILL hasn’t realised that everyone can SEE he’s a toolmaker’s cursed spawn.

  1. Did he mention his ma was a nurse, and that he used to prosecute terrorists?

I’m sure it’s what ppl need to know.

    1. Keith said he: stopped terrorist IN THE AIR🤔🤔🤔
      Yes! Seriously….
      Not just any tool.

      1. Ppl rmbr Keith was a DPP head when Jimmy Saville, chum of the Establishment, from the police & Children’s homes high command, right down to the Thatcher creature and a Prince Charles.

It is alleged – Charles asked Jimmy Saville for PR ADVICE.
        😨🪱⚠️😨🪱⚠️😨🪱⚠️

That’s the nature of the Establishment Sir Kth Stmr sehhhrves.

AND – SYNOVIS is the eg of successful stealth PRIVITISATION in the NHS which Keith and WES STREETING praises and can’t wait to have sucking every last drop of blood from the NHS.

When I first encountered SYNOVIS, in my hospitals, my heart sank further.

This EMERGENCY, two days running now, was an emergency waiting to happen.

POOLING of data, -> IT data leak hazards. OBVIOUS.

CONNECTED too are Keith & Co’s worship of wars and more killing. Pledging more billions to the Old deadly Military Industrial Complex.

Think of it: At a stroke, despite all the military hardware they r willing to splurge public money on, JUST as in the NHS now, everything… EVERYTHING is halted!!!

Without pathology services we are stumped! No operations, no transfusions, no results to arrange same NOR safe discharge of patients. NOTHING!!!

This calamity of Privatised IT worship will cripple EVERY single critical area of our country’s infrastructure: Water, Energy, Transport … everything DWP, HMRC …

Meanwhile, HORIZON has been gifted yet ANOTHER contract worth One Hundred MILLION GBP

Anyone wanting the measure of serial liar Starmer & Co, need only FOLLOW the MONEY !!!

MONEY and power worship is all to them

  2. What boring pair of twats they should have Farage and Galloway on to teach them how to debate but the cowards wont

    1. Indeed Brian61. I did’t watch as was out, busy + don’t have TV anyway. Was multitasking ( hence the most horrific typos i’v only seen this AM in all my posts above. APOLOGIES to all SB readers💐💐💐
ALWAYS typing on the fly on a phone while trying to do other things, incl radio listening… ALWAYS 😑😑😑

Convinced typos sent after pressing reply, a determined attempt to get people to use spell check and predictive text.
      I REFUSE so to do.

  3. Last night was probably a score-draw?
Survation reports and endorses that a “Tomorrow-belongs-to-Me”-like polling group (@bestforBritain) gives Labour ‘a record-breaking majority’:
    LAB 487
    CON 71
    LD 43
    SNP 26
    RFM 3
    PC 2

30,044 interviews conducted online and on the phone
    Fwk 22 May – 2 June

The above polling was BEFORE Nigel Farage did a ‘Clacton Shuffle’ to “shift the debate to the right” and doesn’t acknowledge any Green or Collective/WPGB activity in the election. Interesting times…

  4. Even if I were a Labour supporter, even if it were in fact an entity of impeccable socialist credentials, that degree of imbalance is wrong. Eoin Clarke’s 100 MP bloc wouldn’t even touch the sides, never mind make a difference. To paraphrase, so many MPs, representing so few people. Optimistically you might hope that the carapace of unity would shatter post-election: rather bizarrely, the party could split into five roughly-equivalent sized blocks and still be the largest parties. These, and the rump of what was the Tory Party might then decide that some form of PR is really the best option.

    1. Arguably Tim White, the neoliberal right (of which Sir Keir Starmer is certainly a part) saw that when the 2015 GE gave UKIP 12.9% vote-share and no parliamentary seats. You seriously reckon FPTP might eventually be dropped by the PtB if Starmer’s Labour (Capital’s B Team), performs poorly?

  5. qwertboi, my ‘optimistically’ was doing some heavy lifting (!) I’m not as invested in evoking Trilateral this, WEF that, as others, and happy to accept that may be optimism, naivete or just plain ignorance although I think that the PtB require adversarial politics to keep us in check. Fuelling wars, kinetic and cultural, and othering whole communities all contribute to keeping us angry and stopping us being constructive.

  6. What was really Vile and Disgusting about the Two Cheeks parties and ITV was the Gaza stitch up
No mention of ‘Jews Committing Genocide ‘ at all

  7. Anyone who thinks vote New New Labour or the Tories will get back in should watch this debate. Nothing to seperate these two Thatcher wannabes.
