Cooper deletes fake-news tweet condemning anti-oil protesters – without apology

Protesters snapped at Cenotaph had been dragged there by police, but no apology from Shadow Home Sec

Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, apparently trying to match appalling Home Secretary Suella Braverman, posted a message on Twitter yesterday condemning protesters from the campaign group ‘Just Stop Oil’ for supposedly ‘targeting the Cenotaph’ memorial to fallen troops – and offering ‘full support’ for police action:

In fact, there was no targeting of the Cenotaph. None at all. Instead, photographs of protesters who were not at the Cenotaph, but who had been dragged there by police after an entirely separate protest, had been misrepresented by police and politicians – as should have been obvious from the fact that the photos showed no mass of protesters anywhere near the monument, but just a couple of people handcuffed on the floor.

The falsity of the claims was confirmed by Sky News:

The Met Police, who had arrested protesters without any clarity about what for, were perfectly clear that none of the arrests were connected in any way to the Cenotaph:

Cooper then deleted her fake news, but did not issue an apology for misleading the public and smearing Just Stop Oil, despite numerous requests to do so. Her false claims were seen by almost a hundred and fifty thousand people before its deletion:

Cooper has a history of posting fake news. In 2017, she quoted a proven ‘sockpuppet’ Twitter account that had been repeatedly used to misrepresent supporters of then-leader Jeremy Corbyn, to claim left-wingers were making antisemitic comments. When contacted for comment, a spokeswoman doubled down and attempted to paint the anti-Corbyn sockpuppet as a phenomenon of the left.

  1. In one of the books about Corbyn, it says that some MPs were encouraged by Cooper’s campaign team in 2015 to nominate Corbyn as this was thought to help her chances in the leadership election.

Did not work out too well for her on that occasion.

  2. In other news:

Around 300 17 and 18-year-olds at Beal High School in Ilford, east London, either refused to attend or walked out of the assembly last Friday.

“We heard Wes Streeting would be coming down to do a talk on university and personal statements,” one year 13 student involved, Amina, told Novara Media. “But as a year group, we wanted to show our support to those in Palestine.

“Keir Starmer [has] stated he does not support calls for a ceasefire. None of us agreed with this, so collectively we showed our position by not attending.”

According to a parent of a child at the school, which has a high number of Muslim students, Israel’s genocide in Gaza is “politicising young people like nothing has before”.

  3. Cooper (aka Mizz balls) and her media whore, weirdo husband, (and friend of former toerag chancellor, gidiot osborne), had guests at their wedding subsidise the cost of their nuptials.

They were continually flipping their second home status (in order to claim taxpayer-funded allowances) quite possibly more than any other MPs before or since.

And – lest we ever forget – mizz balls was the dwp secretary who introduced Work Capability Assessments (WCAs), bringing misery and death to tens of thousands of disabled claimants since its inception.

Do you HONESTLY believe the harridan would even deign to apologize for spreading shite about on social media?

  4. Slowly but surely the truth about 7th October is coming out, does not bode well for hostages
The atrocities committed that day were entirely the responsibility of the IDF, they adopted a scorched earth policy and took out everything and everyone, including their own people
If Israel does not stop then the world will see them for the barbarians and savages that they are
The biggest threat to the Jewish Community worldwide is the Jewish State

    1. Yes, the Zionist fascist state will turn Israel into a pariah state to rival South Africa in the Apartheid era. And that’ll give them plenty more opportunities to cry “anti-Semitism” and play the victim card, so they’ll be happy with that!
