Video: released hostage Lifshitz says Gaza captors were ‘kind’ and hostages treated well

85yo released hostage’s account at odds with Israeli government claims of barbaric terrorists

85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz, the hostage released last night by Hamas, has told reporters that her captors were ‘kind’, promised she wouldn’t be harmed and have been giving hostages the same food they are eating:

The account of Ms Lifshitz – who shook hands with her captors and wished them peace as she was released – is starkly at odds with the Israeli government’s portrayal of Palestinian freedom fighters as ‘human animals’, and barbarians – but accords entirely with the report Israelis who escaped being taken as hostage, who said the Palestinian fighters were considerate and polite and attributed most deaths to the counter-attack by Israeli forces.
