Fascist outcome of neoliberalism mirrored by fascism of Tories – whether blue or red
Florida senator and former governor Rick Scott has published a sinister video ‘warning socialists and communists not to travel to Florida’, claiming ‘They are not welcome in the Sunshine State’. The video, apparently as empty of self-awareness as it is of political nous, is a golden demonstration of the totalitarian outcome of the right-wing thinking that dominates the US, the Tories and, tragically, the Labour party:
The US expression of such fascism may be a little more naked, but it is by no means absent from the UK: the Tories have pushed through law after law giving impunity to servants of the state for their crimes and making protest and democracy punishable with imprisonment.
And the so-called ‘opposition leader’ Keir Starmer and his cronies are busily crushing democracy, decency and freedom of speech in the hollowed-out shell of the Labour party, while aiding the Tories in passing their anti-freedom laws. Socialism is no more welcome in Starmer’s diseased party than in the batsh** world of Rick Scott.
