#Torygate: ten things that Laura Pidcock didn’t say, and five that she did.

Ben Sellers, who works for Labour MP Laura Pidcock, has done an excellent point-by-point take-down of the straw men the Establishment media have used to attack her since her landmark interview with the SKWAWKBOX.

  1. The establishment media’s vicious and relentless bullying attacks on Laura are of course a sign of weakness, not strength.

It also exposes that cosy neoliberal consensus between the media, Tory party and centrist Labour MPs, which has led the country into illegal wars, occupations and running torture programmes.

The Tories, establishment media and Labour centrists have worked hand in glove to promote and implement an economic model which has benefited their corruption handsomely but has increased financial and social insecurity for the majority of the public.

The current Labour Party’s leadership and membership is going to smash that consensus apart. Labour MPs will need to pick a side. Are they with the public and the Labour Party, or are they with the corrupt corporate centrists?

It is worth remembering that people who walk down the middle of a road get knocked down by the traffic coming from both directions.

  3. Laura is representing the views of many on the Labour Left, that befriending Tories is hypocrisy whilst so many in our communities have faced the sheer end and the bitter harshness of austerity via cuts to their only financial lifelines, being told to find work when many struggle to survive.

I will never be friend or socialise with Tories, those who gloat at their ideological superiority and their ability to afford the luxuries of life whilst so many of their fellow citizens depend on the kindness of strangers to survive.

Jeremy Corbyn and Laura Piddock are about to tear up the coziness of the neoliberal nexus of Hard Right Brexit headbangers, the illiberal Orange Book Fibdems and the bastard Blairites.
I hope Jeremy appoints a strong Culture Secretary (not Tom Watson) to break up the BBC and the newspaper cartels that turn out Hard right neoliberal propaganda everyday via Kussenberg, Robinson, Neil, Dimbleby et al.

  6. It’s pretty obvious that Laura is really rattling the Tory MPs for them to be on her case so much. Good on her. It’s about time their puffed up egos and sense of entitlement was given a good prod.

  7. LAURA IS GAINING MUCH MORE VOTERS ON THE LEFT TO FIGHT THE CORRUPT GOINGS ON ON THE NEOLIBERAL RIGHT!
SHE IS THE THORN THAT STICKS IT TO EM THEY JUST DON’T LIKE IT UPEM AS JONES WOULD SAY!
THOSE WHO ARE AGAINST THE TRUTH ARE NOW BECOMING THE MINORITY!
LAURA HAS BECOME THE WAKEUP CALL FOR THOSE WHO THINK IT WON’T HAPPEN!
