Nine days ago, the SKWAWKBOX flagged that possibility that Labour’s ruling NEC (National Executive Committee) would re-examine during its meeting today the issue of CLP delegates to Labour’s conference starting this weekend who had been barred from attending because of a decision regarding a two-week window in the membership deadline for eligibility as a delegate.
In breaking news rounding off a superb day for the Labour party’s left-leaning majority, this blog can confirm that those members can now attend if they are able – and Labour’s Southside HQ was put on notice last week to get ready for today’s decision, so the administrative preparations could be made in anticipation.
Time is short. If you are a delegate who has been denied access but are still free to go, contact Labour urgently and start arranging travel and accommodation.
