A young man was stabbed on Queen’s Drive on the eastern side of the city, close to the Vagabonds Lawn Tennis club, by two assailants who escaped in a black Ford car. Local press reporters have not yet been able to reach the scene because of the resulting traffic chaos.
This footage, exclusive to the SKWAWKBOX, shows the massive police response to the incident, with a large number of police cars and ambulances gathered near a green along Liverpool’s main ring road, where the incident took place:
Police were out on the grass but bystanders were being kept back. Moments after this footage was taken, several more police vehicles and ambulances were seen racing to the scene with blues and sirens.
The victim’s injuries are described as serious. The assailants have not yet been apprehended.
