100+ schools lose over £1 MILLION to Tory #schoolcuts #GE17 #NUT (video)

A new video published by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) has revealed the hideous scale of Tory damage to our children’s education. With many parents and grandparents already getting behind the Labour party to save their children’s education and life prospects, everyone needs to see this video – and to use the NUT’s school-cuts site to see in detail what will be happening to their children’s school if the Tories succeed in holding onto power:

Terrifyingly, those schools losing more than a million are just the tip of the iceberg.

Every non-private school in the country is set to lose – half will lose in real terms (income will not keep pace with inflation) and half will lose in cash terms (actual reductions in budget on top of the impact of inflation), as NUT head Kevin Courtney told the SKWAWKBOX earlier this month.

The situation is so bad that some schools are slashing the budget even of core curriculum subjects – such as Calderstones school in Liverpool, whose maths department has been informed of 20% cuts to its budget for the next school year.

If you don’t already know the impact of Tory cuts on your children’s school, use the school-cuts site to find out.

And if you care about education – for your children or anyone else’s – you must vote the Tories out on 8 June. It’s not a choice – it’s a necessity.

The SKWAWKBOX is provided free of charge but depends on the generosity of its readers to be viable.
