Prime minister Andy Burnham has put Israel above British people – again. After ranting that the Green party’s democratic declaration that ‘Zionism is racism’ was antisemitic, Burnham threatened local councils that his party would allow any coalitions with the Greens to collapse if local Green councillors didn’t denounce the conference motion. Now, he has followed through on his threat and pulled Labour out of at least eleven councils:
• Coventry City
• West Suffolk
• Derbyshire Dales
• Sheffield
• Warwick
• West Devon
• Arun
• Havant
• Lewes
• Stafford
• Wealden District Councill
Contempt for democracy and lives
Burnham has continued, and even escalated, his predecessor’s long war on the speech and protest rights of UK citizens to protect Israel – including the detention and persecution of journalists and the jailing of mostly elderly or disabled anti-genocide protesters.
Now, he is risking the functional collapse of councils and opening a barn door for fascist Reform – all to protect the feelings of supporters of genocidal Israel from a democratic decision that is no threat to anyone except the terror state. And that means he’s also showing contempt for the lives of Palestinians, whom Israel continues to slaughter daily with UK collaboration.
Burnham has fooled some, for now. But he is operated by the same people that ran Starmer – and he is evidently just as much in the pocket of Israel and its lobby as Starmer or any Tory.

Don’t suppose it has surprised that many Green voters, to have it confirmed that Burnham is a human invertebrate.
