When Right is always wrong: disabled anti-fascist on far-right abuse and Met failure

  1. Very moving.
    Is concerning 100,000.
But to put into context recently
    2,000,000 celebrated diversity at the
    Brixton Carnival.
But we should not be complacent.
Facing us were 2 groups, the lumpen
far right, and those who are being played
    by emotive propaganda to feel
threatened though the UK white population is actually 83%.
They say we want our country back but WE British are black, white and brown etc
just look at the England football team, music stars, celebrities etc.
The White Far Right claim they are protecting our children but from the evidence what is the reality?
    * 1 asylum seeker in a hotel has been prosecuted for child sex abuse.
    * 106,000 WHITE men in our communities have been prosecuted for child sex abuse.
Tragically child abuse is in all social classes & ethnic groups and is usually within the family or people known to them
so focussing on a minority, because they
are driven by race hatred, does nothing to
    protect ALL children.
Many of us on the Left read up on issues, research them & look at reports etc to try to be INFORMED & I would argue the groups opposing do neither and this is their weakness – they are UNINFORMED.
If we could talk to the potential soft racists we could turn them around but tragically we are prevented from doing this by the police.
And perhaps some of the Left think what is the point of attending Right Wing counter demos just to shout at the lumpen Far Right which some would argue is
    Performative?
Just imagine if the 20,000 on our side in
London had instead put 200 leaflets out where they lived that would be 4m.
That is the Left’s conundrum; when prevented at demos from engaging with soft potential racists how to we try to politicise and inform people?
Apart from getting these points out on social media perhaps we also need a powerful leaflet door to door which humanises refugees, is positive about them and draws on emotion (we are caring & compassionate human beings) and paints the above picture on the truth concerning child abuse is the UK and we do a mass leaflet.
We need to connect with the heart & head.
And good news Your Party has now outlined its plans & many of us can join soon & start building it + get out there to
offer a desperately needed alternative which fills the vacuum.
    Solidarity.
