Video: “Just go in, pick them out and get them” – more police arrive as anti-genocide protest continues into night

Police target blind protester and those trying to protect him

The London anti-genocide, anti-proscription demonstration by members and supporters of the Defend Our Juries (DOJ) group continues into the night, after a day in which more than a thousand people defied the Starmer regime’s ‘lawfare’ tactics against speech, protest and journalism in support of the Palestinian people against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Earlier in the day, police had arrested hundreds of peaceful demonstrators, some of them violently, despite the disciplined peacefulness of protesters and the abundance of witnesses, with many of both groups being anti-Zionist Jews that the government refuses to acknowledge and continues to target.

Gerry Tasker, on site to film for Skwawkbox, recorded and narrated as the Met brought in even greater numbers of police – with witnesses reporting that the reinforcements have been told to “Just go in, pick them out and get them out”, targeting those who still continue the sit-in and escalating the likelihood of further police violence:

Tasker told Skwawkbox:

Police deliberately bashed into people standing with [blind demonstrator] Michael Higgins, knocking them into him and me. As people tried to steady themselves and pushed back to stop from being hurt or hurting Michael, police became more aggressive with one of them turning on people.

Barnet Socialists also filmed arrests this evening.

Israel has murdered almost half a million people, overwhelmingly civilians, during its Gaza genocide so far – according to analysis of the Israeli military’s own date. Keir Starmer continues to collaborate in its crimes and to provide direct military assistance to the genocidal colony.

  1. The Metropolitan Police (Met) has confirmed the use of facial recognition technology during pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

Under Starmer, the Met has more than doubled its use of live facial recognition technology. It’s increased use is targeted primarily at pro-Palestine supporters.

Starmer is not just an enemy of Palestine. He is an enemy of freedom and liberal democracy.

  2. The current Labour Cabinet & previous Tory Cabinet should be in the ICJ dock.
And they and others carrying out their orders will be condemned forever by history. ICJ⚖️

    1. Those carrying out orders which are considered to be illegal under International Law need to be put in the dock alongside those who issued the orders.
