Flotilla organisers call for full transparency and a UN investigation of Israel’s terror attack on humanitarian vessel

The Maltese government has been exposed allowing an Israeli military aircraft to spend five hours in its airspace coordinating the drone attack on the Freedom Flotilla ship the ‘Conscience‘, which was bombed as it sailed to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza, and appears to be trying to ensure that the ship’s mission ends just outside its waters.
The Starmer regime in the UK has still not even mentioned Israel’s completely illegal attack on a peaceful vessel in international waters, much less condemn it – even as it bombs Yemen for Yemen’s efforts to fulfil its obligations under international law to do all in its power to prevent Israel’s genocide in Gaza by blocking Israeli and Israeli-bound commercial shipping.
Israel’s starvation blockade on Gaza, which Yemen has said it will end its shipping block as soon as Israel lifts, is a naked crime against humanity under international law that has deliberately pushed nearly two million civilians in Gaza into profound famine and is killing children at a constantly accelerating rate, now through starvation as well as bombing.
Now, despite appearing to reverse course and saying it would allow the ship to dock for repairs, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition says that the Maltese government instead claims it is ‘undertaking a survey’ ‘of the ship and denying the group’s request for an independent review after the terrorist drone attacks on the ship. The coalition said:
We are calling for an independent UN forensic survey of the damage and for assessors, but we need your help.
Our humanitarian vessel was en route to collect aid from Malta for Palestinians in Gaza who are being deliberately starved by Israel. We are trying to do what our governments are failing at even attempting to try.
This attack is part of Israel’s ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing, aimed at stopping anyone who dares to bring the very basics to Gaza. Tag UN rapporteurs and experts to ensure that an investigation is done fairly and with complete transparency.
The group has published the following video update to accompany its statement:

Can anyone think of a reason for forbidding independent observers that isn’t nefarious.
Ask keef.
I wouldn’t bother. He’s too busy trying to start World War Three.
Apparently, it’s “antisemitic” for a kettle to call a pot ‘black’, but according to wiki*, “In response to the Israeli C-130 flight, an anonymous Maltese military source was quoted by the Times of Malta saying, “What happened is very serious. Israel appears to have flown an unauthorised military aircraft over Malta, [a European Union] state and in breach of our neutrality. This is very serious.”[34]
According to wiki, again:
“Reactions
i). Spanish member of the European Parliament Ana Miranda Paz among many others condemned the recent attack[40] and blamed it on Israel.[41]
ii). In a statement, Maltese political party AD+PD expressed solidarity and anger at what it said appeared to be “a terrorist attack by Israel”.[42]
iii). Greta Thunberg characterized the incident as an example of the disregard for international law and human rights. She expressed concern for the safety of the individuals aboard the vessel and noted the proximity of the alleged attack to a European Union member state.
iv). Activists based in Malta reported that they had been attempting to board the vessel for several days but had not received clearance from local authorities”.[13]
Compliance (with genocide), like antisemitism, comes in many shapes and sizes. The Maltese variety is every bit as illegal and wrong as every other (ain’t that right, Keir?).
