Whatever Johnson’s deal is, Cummings is deeply unhappy, candid moment suggests

Chief adviser’s no-deal hopes take a hit
Cummings looks an unhappy chappy

A reportedly positive meeting between Irish PM Leo Varadkar and Boris Johnson has led to warm words from both – and briefings from inside Varadkar’s team that a deal looks on.

That news is not exactly to the liking of Johnson’s chief adviser Dominic Cummings, judging by a capture of the pair:

Cummings, who is believed by pretty much everyone to be trying to engineer a no-deal exit, may be finding out that Johnson’s inability to follow a plan or a script applies just as much to him as to anyone.

Johnson’s hunched shoulders suggest he knows that when they get back to Downing Street this evening, the neighbours might be reporting him being shouted at.

  1. I couldn’t give a toss what that little shit feels unless its the hand of the grim reaper , but my guess is he IS the reaper !

  2. SteveH, I would be more inclined to say that he utilises / copies the Nazi propaganda.

  3. Johnson is a lightweight political opportunist (neither Leave or Remain) a junior player in a World in which a Right Wing Neo-Liberal Barbarian like Trump gives a green to co-Barbarians to do their worst: Turkey’s invasion of Kurdish areas in Syria, India in Kashmir, Bolsanario the Barbarian in Brazil et al as Trump stabs the Kurds in the back.
Johnson is desperate for a Deal – Ditch or No Ditch? (he wants the latter).
Wouldn’t be surprised if he steals Labour’s clothes – customs union etc.
A good comrade made an excellent point today as our union leafleted UC claimants outside a job centre today to support them, In Jeremy’s campaigns going direct to the public he can counter the right wing narrative, and JC should become a political teacher!
    Solidarity!

    1. Not just Brexit – 10 years of creating internal enemies of the sick and disabled, of impoverishment of millions of working and non-working people and their families. Martin Odoni has written yet another perceptive article today – that the Brexit Story = Bull Shit.

  4. Who knows what to believe?but if the reports are accurate and Cummings is sad then I am happy ☺..Why should we take all of the sh55t especially when it comes from your own party

  5. Dominic Cummings accused of conflict of interest over NHS fund

Jonathan Ashworth, said Cummings’ undisclosed advisory role raised serious questions about potential conflicts of interest.

“The links between Dominic Cummings in the heart of Downing Street, the health secretary and this AI health firm are increasingly murky and highly irresponsible,” he told the Guardian.

“Mr Cummings’ work for this company raises serious questions about a potential conflict of interest, given the firm could be in line to receive public money from this new £250m AI fund.

“We need to know if he declared his work for the firm to the cabinet secretary when he joined the government payroll. If not, why not?”
