SKWAWKBOX continues to turn away advertising requests for readers’ sake. Please support if you can

The SKWAWKBOX runs ad-free – even paying its hosts a premium to remove any host-driven advertising from its pages – and will continue to be available free of charge, for the sake of its readers and for the clarity of the information presented. Getting the word out is always paramount.

Advertising requests received – and rejected – recently

As a result, the blog relies entirely on the support of its readership to cover costs of running the site, creating content and digging out the information – often exclusive – that drives the content and discomfits the Establishment.

If you would like to support the SKWAWKBOX and can afford to do so without hardship, please consider clicking here to arrange a one-off or modest monthly donation via PayPal or here for a monthly donation via GoCardless.

Thanks for your solidarity.

  1. Happy to support but as a regular reader here’s a suggestion.

As well as reader subs why not negotiate the best 6 month deal you can to take advantage of the demand you have created and get some money in the coffers?

I can only speak for myself but would be happy to put up with adverts for a few months if it helps out the site.

People come here because you are a reliable source of information, I don’t think a few adds for few months would put serious readers off.

    Just an idea.

    1. I think you underestimate the impact that ads can have. I tend not to read many Canary posts these days because their articles are so inundated with ads.

Secondly, if people see ads, they assume the site is generating plenty of cash for itself and are less likely to donate.

I used to support the Canary but when they started showing ads, I cancelled my subscription to them and doubled my Skwawkbox sub.

      1. Katherine I don’t know if you realise it but if you support The Canary and subscribe with a monthly donation , this does in fact give you an advert free version ?
I subscribe to both and once logged into TC there are no ads.
I tend to agree with the idea of a limited blast of ads if it means the SBox continues or maybe SB adopts the same model as The Canary .

  2. Depends what you mean by ads! The Canary is so slow as to be useless, because it’d larded with advertising crap.

  3. I recently stopped subscribing to Momentum so would be happy to give this small monthly fee to Skwarky

  4. Just a thought, but if Skwawkbox WAS to allow advertising, I wonder how long until the odious (and ‘not looking like your typical jew’) rachel riley and the hypocritical SFFN’d take before they pressured the advertisers with their usual, half-baked shite?

(Meagre donation on it’s way shortly)

  5. The Skwawkbox came to my attention back in 2012 as soon as it started highlighting the plight of the NHS under Lansley.

I am happy to support and love that it is free from ads.

The information on this site needs to be publicly available to as many people as possible.
