New hardware in place – thanks for your support!

laptop corner

A few days ago the SKWAWKBOX put out a call for help to buy a new computer when an existing laptop died suddenly. SKWAWKBOX readers are fantastic, generous people and we’ve raised enough to cover the cost of a very nice new machine – the existing one will be a well-spec’d backup when it comes back repaired, so we’ll be more robustly set up than ever to keep bringing you the news and information you value.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed – as editor, I’m blown away by your generosity and support.

I’ll be sending a personal thank-you to each person as soon as time allows, but a special mention goes to long-time reader Michael Westcombe, who not only found us a brilliant machine with an incredible discount of over £700 from his own long-term computer supplier but even negotiated with them to shorten the delivery time so we received the new kit today.

Of course, the blog will continue to rely on its readers, so if you’d like to support the work please use the donate button in the sidebar or the link that appears at the end of most articles.

Thanks again, everyone for a brilliant and moving demonstration of the solidarity that makes us all dangerous to the status quo.

The SKWAWKBOX needs your support. This blog is provided free of charge but depends on the generosity of its readers to be viable. If you can afford to, please click here to arrange a one-off or modest monthly donation via PayPal. Thanks for your solidarity so this blog can keep bringing you information the Establishment would prefer you not to know about.
