On Sunday the SKWAWKBOX flagged six ‘desperation tactics’ that Labour insiders expect to be used by right-wing Labour – and Tory – agitators to try to retake control of the narrative amid their panic at Jeremy Corbyn’s newly-recognised stature and soaring popularity.
It didn’t take long for the predictions to start to materialise. Number two of the six reads:
2) Engineer a foreign policy division
As the right did (with unforgivable cynicism and callousness) over Syria and Yemen, look for faux-Labour MPs and others to manufacture a split over some foreign policy issue
Sure enough, Politics Home editor Kevin Schofield tweeted:
As the SKWAWKBOX pointed out to Mr Schofield, his description of the conversation doesn’t match what Corbyn actually said.
The Metro is running the same – false – line on its Monday front page:
‘As soon as I can’ doesn’t mean anything – except that Corbyn would like to do it, which we all know. It doesn’t mean ‘a priority’. As soon as Corbyn can achieve it might be ten, twenty years from now – or never.
But it’s presented as if it means something more concrete – and couched so that some reading loosely might think he intends to do it by Christmas or, in the case of Metro, that it’s going to be right at the top of his to-do list. Which is not the same as ‘as soon as I can’.
Which is not what the reported conversation says – but you can be confident that the incorrect description of the conversation will be treated as convenient fact by those looking to ‘engineer a foreign policy division‘ – for the sake of their own ends and career, of course.

It would be incredibly foolish for the right wing corporatists in the PLP to attempt to attack Mr Corbyn on his position on nuclear weapons.
Mr Corbyn has made it quite clear that he is against triggering a nuclear holocaust that will incinerate millions of innocent civilians.
His position not only has a moral basis, it is also an entirely pragmatic and moderate position to take. The interdependency of states which has resulted from globalisation means that a nuclear strike by any nation will cause a chain reaction that will collapse the entire global economy.
Globalisation has therefore made nuclear weapons unusable.
Glastonbury always has has a CND and disarmament theme. So its just another day in the gutter for the “UK” press.

Its not rocket science to work out what Jeremy Corbyn’s plans are on Nuclear Arms, many nations want rid of Nuclear however they also like Corbyn understand in terms of defence it is not possible unless all Nuclear Arms Nation have a firm Agreement/Treaty in place for removal that is monitored.
Corbyn like many others wants rid of Nuclear Arms but it cannot happen yet due to defence and whilst we have the Non-Proliferation Treaty which has done a good job of protecting us all it still is not the answer for full removal as 4 nations, India being one of them refuse to sign up to the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
So for the time being we have to keep our Nuclear Arms that is the right common sense move but also reset negotiations for a World Removal Agreement/Treaty which Corbyn will Negotiate of which there is no better Negotiator.

I’d say yesterday’s piece in the Observer in which 50 senior Labour figures (mostly the usual suspects, bomber Benn & co) are quoted as trying to bounce Corbyn on Brexit policy, looks like No. 6 being operated too. They really should piss off and join what’s left of the LibDems and leave their seats for candidates who was interested in representing the British people rather than big business, the USA/NATO, Israel or Saudi Arabia.
