Corbyn speaks to Manchester victims, families – and against division (updated video)

BBC News showed this interview earlier but has not been repeating it. In it, Jeremy Corbyn sends a message of genuine humanity and compassion to the victims of last night’s Manchester bombing and their families.

But as a statesman, he also calls on all of us to defy the terrorists by refusing to allow our communities to be divided:

The SKWAWKBOX echoes this message. Remember that many of those who offered transport and accommodation to people stranded in Manchester were Muslims and – as one of them told BBC News – good citizens, as were those who turned up in huge numbers to give blood for the injured.

Our hearts go out to those affected, but those who attempt to exploit their grief for division shame themselves and our country.
