The Tories are banking on the complexity of their plans to hammer elderly people to prevent pensioners from understanding and switching their support to the Labour party.
The Bow Group is a Conservative think-tank – but it has prepared a simple graphic that makes Theresa May’s planned assault on pensioners extremely clear:
At least 70% of us will be hit by this in our future – and not just hit, but hammered. Pensioners need to understand right now what is being done to them.
Take this image – show it to them and if they need help, help them understand it.
Then make sure they know to vote Labour.

This is terrifying. The charge won’t be put on the property as such – pensioners will no doubt have to take out a product with a private equity release firm in order to receive care. The boundary between what constitutes care and health will then become blurred and all pensioner services be deemed as care is my guess. Equity release companies will no doubt charge a premium and this government very unlikely to cap it. This will be on top of the charges for services. When the time comes for the property to be sold the equity release company will no doubt insist on a quick sale so the actual price of the property isn’t released, perhaps at auction. This will transfer the country’s housing stock into the hands of private landlords who will rent it to the pensioners’ children and grandchildren who can’t afford their own home.

From what I have read the government were in talks with insurance companies and they have agreed to provide the insurance as long as the government don’t cap the care costs
