SKWAWKBOX software funding appeal

The SKWAWKBOX runs on coffee, sleep-deprivation and the support of its readers, for which we’re deeply thankful.

With the increased media and public interest the blog is continuing to attract (on which more shortly), we want to make the most of the opportunity to get the word out. So in order to enhance the quality of the articles the SKWAWKBOX can bring you, we’ve invested in some new software for audio and video editing – particularly useful, such as in the last article published, for creating clips that are hard to find without listening through long sections of less relevant material.

The SKWAWKBOX is a labour of love and passion, so we’ve made this investment without covering the cost in advance, but if you’d like – and are able – to chip in a pound or a few to help cover that cost and others, such as the premium package we pay for to keep the blog free of ads for maximum readability, please click the donate link below to do so via PayPal.

If we raise enough, we also have our eye on some animation software that will increase the impact of posts even further – to extend the reach of the message.

Please share this article as well. Thanks for your support!

The SKWAWKBOX is provided free of charge but depends on the generosity of its readers to be viable. If you found this information helpful and can afford to, please do click here to arrange a one-off or modest monthly donation via PayPal. Thanks for your support so this blog can keep bringing you information the Establishment would prefer you not to know about.

  1. Hi steve happy to donate £100 but can we do via bank transfer if you provide sort code/ a/c details to avoid paypal costs or are they minimal charges?

  2. Hi Steve, could you please remove smithdavidwales address and phone number to keep his anonymity. I hate to think what would happen if some unscrupulous individual got hold of it.
    Ta

  3. Will these funds be funding corporations or proprietary business models? The answer is probably yes. Please use Free software instead:

At the very least, try it and consider that you’ll be saving yourself from vendor lock-in.
Things like Free software development should be a public service, because distribution of information and technology is a form of distribution of wealth.

  4. Reblogged this on Britain Isn't Eating and commented:
Always glad to share what little I have my friend.
You’re doing us and the Labour Party an amazing service getting our messages out and dispelling Tory lies.
I think Labour should help your blog out too, it may be an idea for them to donate to your and other pro Labour blogs in order to counteract the Right Wing MSM attempts to shut Labour down!

  5. As a pensionless, pensioner (AKA WASPI) sorry to say I can’t help –
much as I would like to. Not easy living on £27pw so I do what I can by spreading the word.

  6. I’m afraid I haven’t got paypal or a credit card account (Being a long-term carer on IS & CA) – but a mate has paypal, so I’ll make a meagre contribution via him ASAP. Happy to make a token gesture to your sterling work. 🙂
