In a new policy announcement, the party that founded the NHS has planted its flag on the UK’s greatest achievement in a General Election battle that many feel the very survival of the NHS depends on.
Labour’s commitment to scrap NHS parking charges extends the principle of ‘free at the point of need’ to families as well as patients, by eliminating a punitive charge that places a disproportionate burden on families at a time when they’re already carrying enough with the worry for a sick loved one.
By ensuring that families will not have to consider ‘rationing’ visits because of cost, Labour’s pledge will also improve the experience of patients.
Once again, Labour has shown itself to be the only party that can be trusted to support and protect our NHS that the vast majority of people in this country love and rely on. The party’s commitment to increasing wages for NHS staff that have been overburdened and undervalued by the Tory party means that those who care about their own health, their loved ones and the doctors, nurses and other health staff we depend on in our greatest need – which must surely be a huge majority of this country’s electorate – have only one sane choice to make on 8 June

Well done for raising awareness of Labour’s firmly pro-NHS policies
Hi, unrelated to this specific post we have evidence from Newport that the Tory opposition Council Leader M Evans targeted extra people and resources into the Gaer area in an attempt to unseat Labour Council Leader Debbie Wilcox. They failed. Apparently this tactic became known at the election count.
Since Mr Evans is not that ‘switched on’ to think of such a trick, does this carry the paw marks of a centrally funded CCC campaign, which attempts to destabilise Labour controlled Councils? Could we establish if any others experience such tactics and if such feature in financial statements to the Returning Officer?
