Corbyn dismisses Blair: “I’m Labour leader”

Jeremy Corbyn put former PM Tony Blair’s touted ‘political comeback’ into its proper context – and Blair himself in his place – yesterday during an interview with radio station LBC.

Speaking on Monday, he told LBC,

It’s up to [Blair] what he decides to do. I’m leading the party.

corbyn in charge

Corbyn’s steely side – always there and tempered still further by the heat of two years of relentless media attacks and battles with blairite dinosaurs – is clearly showing through and he’s not remotely worried by yet another attempted return by the head of the defunct genus.

No wonder Theresa May is terrified of being seen with him during the election and is conducting one of the most bizarre campaigns in UK election history in an attempt to hide her all-too-obvious flaws in character and personality.

  1. Good on him – it’s about time TB was put in his place! And JC does that so well, quietly reminding people of reality.
(I couldn’t play the sound clip unfortunately – I got a file corrupted error – don’t know if this is just me or if there may be an issue with the file perhaps?)

    1. It’s a shame that you couldn’t play the sound clip. JC’s response was exactly as you expected, quiet and restrained but completely dismissive of Blair.

      1. I’m pleased to report that trying a different internet browser has been successful – the clip now plays as intended 😀
… and JC sounds just as I expected!

      2. Thank you! I’ve also converted it to mp3 now instead of M4a so it should be more universally compatible

  2. Rumour has it May is in my neck of the woods today in West Cornwall….hiding down an abandoned mine shaft with her loyalists is my prediction!

  3. I really admire Jeremy Corbyn. He is a real tough man keeps his principal and solid. He is really incredible. We can learn a lot from him about being strong as human being. I am now ill from bully issue that is not that big in comparison with JC receives. We need honest and strong leader, not bully and manipulative and puppet leader.
