The SKWAWKBOX has covered at length events at Wallasey, where the local Labour party has been suspended on the most ludicrous grounds and any damning evidence has in fact been of the behaviour of Ms Eagle’s supporters and of the NEC, rather than of the smeared and suspended local membership.
A further, TUC-sponsored meeting was held last night and this blog by one of the CLP members gives a first-hand account of that meeting and the NEC’s report.
It’s clear that, with this level of anger and sense of betrayal, Ms Eagle’s position as MP for Wallasey is untenable and her resignation the only rational course of action.
