Rise in Foodbank Clients: Unpicking the Data

More really good data on the rise and rise of Foodbank use under this government. Contrary to the assumptions of a few closed-minded people, only 4.25% of those needing help from Foodbanks are unemployed. The vast majority are working but struggling and left marooned in trouble by this government’s so-called ‘reforms’ – or ‘planned impoverishment’ to any sane person.

  2. I am a food bank volunteer and the sheer deprivation and misery which I see on a weekly basis is an utter disgrace.
Most of the casualties I see are awaiting benefit reassessments,ESA tribunals or have recently been made homeless;they are decent people, bewildered and marooned in a system which is close to breaking point. We are their lifeline-literally!
The ill-conceived and utterly stupid bedroom tax is adding to the mounting hardship: what a shocking state of affairs .
