Breaking: govt defeated on Brexit amendment

The government has been defeated on ‘New Clause 17’, an amendment to force the government to participate fully in the EU’s ‘medicines regulatory network’ after Brexit:

To loud cheers from the Labour benches, tellers announced that the amendment had passed by 305 votes to 301.

MPs are voting now on the big amendment of the night – the customs union amendment moved by Tory rebels in revenge for the Theresa May’s surrender to extreme-Brexiters.
